here is where we start

17/9/2013..today is my second day of lecture for Strategic Management. Today is the starting point where we learn this subject for real. As it is the first day we learn this subject, we started from the root which is the nature of Strategic Management. I will not touch about everything we had learnt today to prevent an essay-like diary..hehe..and also because I cannot remember all of them actually, ahh, this short-term memory loss of mine..Well, today we learned about what Strategic Management is. It has kind of long definition, which I suppose to remember..but I like the synonym more ; strategic planning. It is somewhat easy to digest, I mean, understand and simpler than the word ‘management’.

 Then, we also learnt about the stages which include formulation, implementation, and evaluation. For formulation, Miss Ummi had emphasized a lot about vision and mission because here is where we will set the objectives of our company. Also, there is SWOT analysis where we use it to achieve the objectives. Meanwhile for implementation, we execute the formulated strategies..here, we will take our plan into action. Then, there is evaluation stage where we will take corrective action after we evaluate our performance. Miss Ummi also explained about three hierarchical levels which are corporate, divisional and functional. From the overall lecture, I am so interested about the term ‘competitive advantage’ which means anything that a firm does especially well compared to rival firms. I want to be an entrepreneur, so it is so important to distinguish my company from the competitors in the future..hm.. I must think about my company’s specialty from now. I want to success. :D 

my first day with 'Strategic Management'

Strategic Management....when i heard about this course, automatically I thought about a company..how we manage a company strategically; manage the worker, project, budget and bla bla bla..Instantly make me asleep to think about it..BUT, on Tuesday 10th Sept 2013, my thought had changed. It was the first day of lecture for that course which had given by our respective lecturer, Miss Ummi Salwa. She proved that this course can be fun to learn too. 
         During the first lecture, she didn’t teach anything yet but only the brief explanation about the course outline. After that, she suddenly asked us to make a group and gave us a newspaper per group. We are required to make a tower using the newspaper as high as possible in 10 minutes. I think, the situation was very chaotic at that time. The task must be done in that limited time and everyone seemed in hurry and panic..err..maybe.. The most unexpected thing is my group was turned out to be the winner for the task as our tower is the only one standing at the end..hehe.. We are so happy and proud of course. From this task, we learnt that division of tasks and cooperation between group members are important in management. The class was fun and I am looking forward the next class with Miss Ummi. I hope I will be doing well for this subject and may Allah ease everything. In Sya Allah..

Alhamdulillah..finally I had my own blog, even it is actually made compulsory as my assignment..keke~~
I would like to thank miss ummi as 4 give me this valuable experience..this task somehow makes me know internet application better..now, I can boast to my sister that I also have a blog..hehe..
today, i wanna share some saying that I found very touched, memorable, sensible, and any other ble..;P

it is nice right? very moving..sob..of course, we cannot buy everything in this world..we can't buy happiness, time, family..they are very precious and can't be traded..agree? disagree? if u're disagree, I can say u don't have a meaningful life which I think very pathetic..we can't bring money to our afterlife (akhirat) though..

I think I have to stop right now..this sleepiness n tiredness is really killing me..c ya! In Sya Allah..
